For our international client we are looking for a Project Manager/Senior PMO.
Location: Rijswijk (ZH)
Start: 15-03-2016
End: 14-03-2017
40 hrs./week
*** Oil & Gas experience is mandatory ***
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Engaging stakeholders in different organizations at the appropriate levels to ensure that requirements are clear and appropriate, expectations are managed and that the aims of the project or programme align with business needs, infrastructure requirements, and relevant standards.
• Estimating project costs, timescales and resource requirements.
• Following IPPD requirements for proposal templates, pricing sheets, and processes; working with IPPD Delivery Managers, BOPS Project Administration Reporting Analysts (PARAs), and BOPS Project Request Consultants (PRCs) as well as with Contracting & Procurement to resolve any issues.
• Meeting proposal due dates to satisfy customer requirements and CSLs (Critical Service Levels).
• Identifying project quality issues and project risks, incorporating them into proposals and bringing them to project manager’s attention.
• Evaluating and making recommendations/decisions on options (as appropriate).
• Participating in the development of IT infrastructure standards, methods, guidelines, techniques, tools and control structures, particularly in the area of IT project initiation and planning.
• Developing a close working relationship with other SLPMO team members, and with the BOPS PRC and PARA teams, to ensure that the process for initating infrastructure projects is as seamless as possible.
• Transitioning approved projects successfully and smoothly to the selected IPPD project managers and infrastructure consultants.
• Reviewing proposals prior to submission to ensure that they meet quality requirements, e.g, the BOPS PARA Quality Assurance checklist, to meet QA and rework reduction goals.
• Promptly updating reports and responding to requests with current status of outstanding requests and proposals.
• Supporting IPPD escalation process as needed.
• Contributing to and implementing IPPD/ISP process changes.
Special Challenges include:
• Incumbent will require expertise to identify infrastructure solutions, plan projects, and develop project proposals for projects which are either complex and broad in scope or that require specific experience and expertise in an area required by business-specific services
• Working in a global organization, with different businesses, and with major outsourced suppliers of infrastructure project delivery.
• Understanding the contractual framework under which infrastructure projects are delivered via one internal and multiple outsourced supplier partners.
• Developing close working relationships with other internal groups who are key to the successful delivery of compliant project proposals. Activities include but are not limited to the following:
• Contact customer and/or project manager when request for proposal is assigned
• Obtain existing documentation, e.g., Investment Proposal, Project Charter, ESC approval
• Plan proposal development
• Involve outsourced supplier proposal teams as needed
• Request outsourced supplier proposals and incorporate as needed
• Develop pricing model
• Develop proposal
• Validate proposal with customer and/or project manager
• Check proposal compliamce and submit proposal for required reviews
• Perform any required rework promptly
• Assist other project managers and infrastructure consultants in proposal development
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
• 3 or more years of project management and PMO experience in areas of major responsibility
a. Development and update of project definition documents, budgets and plan
b. Development of project change requests
• MS Office including Outlook, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Word
Additional Requirements (a Plus)
• Infrastructure project management
• Project Management certification
• Oil and Gas industry experience
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V look up and H lookup.
