The TwinDC infrastructure has consolidated four datacenters into a twin datacenter solution.
The realisation of the Twin DC programme deliverables have provided an optimal tuning between security and flexibility:
1. High Availability, continuity and flexibility towards and on Trading platforms
2. Increase usability and functionality of OA and to be ready for other business supporting IT services.
3. Decrease complexity of the infrastructure (4 to 2 data centres) resulting in a decrease of risks & maintenance while optimising resource employability
4. Decreasing TCO

Job title: Microsoft Server Manager / Senior Engineer
Our client is looking for an Senior Infrastructure Server Engineer who is responsible for the maintenance and support of both the data centres in the Netherlands and also takes care of the system & storage administration of all IT server hardware hosted in the Netherlands, including the Operating Systems running on it.
The IT Infrastructure server engineer acts as a primary contact to the the Operational department, other IT engineers, Application Managers, Servicedesk and Project Managers the network engineers in the Netherlands.

Key activities and responsibilities
 To technically design IT server & storage solutions according to IT standards
 To translate and review functional (project) designs
 To effectively maintain and support the entire Office Automation (OA)

infrastructure, including File and Mail Server clusters;
 Perform daily checks, system monitoring (SCOM) and incident management ticket solving;
 Support projects, testing activities and deployment of updates, upgrades and/or changes to production systems (SCCM, Orchestrator);
 All hardware, including firmware, the Operating Systems and System Management Tooling running on it;
 Microsoft Windows Active Directory domain management (Time services, Certificates, replication, trusts, domain controllers, etc.);
 Taking care of the back-up and archiving of all data stored on the OA server hardware, according to agreed back-up and archiving strategy;
 Help maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) of the OA server hardware infrastructure, including SCCM, updates and patch management;
 Help maintaining the IT continuity plan of the OA server hardware infrastructure, including the Operating System and System Management Tooling running on it
 To effectively maintain and support all VMWARE (ESX/View/Vcenter) / SAN environments;
 To provide oncall assistance, out of office hours, in line with procedures and agreed schedule.

Skills and Competences
 Bachelor degree education or equivalent
 8 years’ experience in the field
 Preferred to be qualified in MCSE (CCNA will be a benefit)
 Fluency in English and Dutch, spoken and written
(French and/or German is a benefit)
 Exchange familiarity (2010/2013/Office365)
 Accurate, flexible and committed
 Good team player with ability to work independently when required
 Good communication skills

Additional information
You must be prepared and able to travel internationally for about 15 % of your professional time as you might be required to execute project activities in all of Europe.
Candidate must also be willing to cover oncall/standby services outside business hours as we run 24/7 services.
