For our client in Amsterdam Harvey Nash is looking for a Senior Solution/Infrastructure Architect.

End: 15-dec-2017

Hours: Fulltime

Job profile:

This position is within project OBO, OneBackOffice. Location could be Schiphol or UK, closest to where the candidates will live. There won’t be much travelling needed. And it’s possible to work partly at the office and partly from home (50-50).

Emphasis is on Cisco ACI Architecture. Preferred experience with Load Balancing, more specifically with F5 Networks. Network Designer is required.

Key Accountabilities:

* Identifying the organization’s needs;

* Defining, documenting and communicating the IT infrastructure design and build standards, adhering to business, security and operational requirements;

* Designing the infrastructure components of new services and major changes to existing services;

* Working with the transition and delivery teams to define the service implementation, as well as the test and documentation requirements for the new service;

* Automating, via scripts, the routine build and operational activities, reduced variability and promoting repeatability into build and operations;

* Participating to the elaboration of the information technology roadmap;

* Developing pilots for the evaluation of new technologies;

* Contributing to the selection of preferred suppliers;

* Documenting and freely sharing knowledge;

* Providing support to operations for conducting root cause analysis and resolving systemic problems.

Requirements:

* University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field, or Business Administration;

* Relevant IT experience in a similar role;

* Good communication with clients, operational managers and colleagues;

* Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice;

* Ability to adapt and prioritise;

* Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions;

* Demonstrated experience of storage, network and virtualisation technologies, on premise and in the cloud;

* Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure services;

* Demonstrated scripting experience, (ideally PowerShell, or Perl, Python like);

* Demonstrated experience with systems monitoring;

* Demonstrated experience designing of network solutions (WAN, LAN, Wifi);

* Demonstrated experience designing VoIP solutions;

* Experience with Azure or AWS clouds is a plus;

* Some light travel as needed;

* Experience in working in a multinational, multi-site environment;

* Demonstrated structured problem solving skills.
