Project
Global Information Services (GIS) has a worldwide responsibility for all IT processes, solutions and services. The aim is to further enhance Global Functions by delivering common business driven solutions and services. Global Solutions (GS) is a key component of GIS and covers the collaborative management of business relationships and the design, development and implementation of common solutions by following a consistent and rigorous programme and project management methodology.

Description of activities
In our Centre of Excellence Technology we are looking for a project manager for one of the initiatives. This project manager selected will be responsible for the delivery of the new Win10 image for all the workstations of our client in cooperation with external partner and Operating Companies (OpCo’s).
In this project, only the development of the image is in scope, the actual deployment of the image on the workstations is a separate project. The project manager will be responsible for the set-up of the business case and the execution of a POC for the deployment of Local Workplace Services.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Manage and report on project planning, progress, financials, issues and risks according our methodology, policies, and standards and working practices
– Manage and coordinate the work of the suppliers and remote workgroups
– Act as counterpart to local staff responsible for transition
– Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks and issues during the life of the project
– Identify and actively engage key internal and external stakeholders and establish collaborative, win-win relations
– Actively engage people to ensure the right team is in the right place at the right time and foster an open and safe project environment for the team to work effectively and efficiently
– Establish a project governance organisation with clear roles and responsibilities and an effective process for escalating issue and communicating decisions
– Quality of the project deliverables and project products.

Required knowledge
To perform this role successfully, a demonstrated project/program management track record in the area of workplace solution deployments is required. This will include
– At least 10+ years of experience in managing projects and programs
– Experience with international projects and global roll-outs
– Excellent communication skills
– Political sensitivity
– Problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management, as well as internal and external partners
