Ops Engineer

We are looking for Ops Engineers (Engineers, Development, Scrum) with at least 1 year experience.

What are your activities?

As an Ops Engineer you are responsible for the stability of your own applications, you identify issues and take the lead in resolving these issues. Your tasks include the monitoring, managing and testing of high-quality applications. As an IT Engineer you fulfill a major IT-role in a professional team of Development- and Operations Engineers (DevOps team) in building tests and support. The DevOps teams use the Scrum methodology and Continuous delivery Engineering Practices.

You deploy/transport the application to the production environment and monitor that the application is available and functioning correctly. You proactively monitor the technical behavior and performance throughout the entire value chain. This means you can make substantial contributions to the realization of all activities that generate business value.

There is much room for innovation, quality comes first and the customer is central within all our activities.

We are looking for candidates with

* Higher professional education / university degree with an IT background

* experience in the banking sector

* good analytical skills and good social and communication skills

* At least one year experience in Agile / Scrum environment

* thorough knowledge of databases, application servers and operating systems

* at least one scripting language and knowledge of software development

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical application support on AIX and Linux (RedHat)

* certification in one or more programming languages

* thorough knowledge of Java Unix and Linux

* knowledge of Continuous delivery (Continuous Integration and Deployment) inc. tooling (eg. Nolio)

* the desire to be constantly engaged in your own development
