Senior Purchasing Manager (permanent vacancy).

For our client, a very successful startup in a production environment, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager. As a Purchasing Manager you will be part of the management team and your core responsibility is setting up a large global network of suppliers and manage the negotiations. The company is planning an enormous global growth, so suppliers that are able to support this are needed.

In order to achieve a smooth process you work closely with the managers of other departments like Supply Chain Manager and Production Manager to assure a careful planning. In order to do so you are familiar with the lead time principles. It is most important that the assembly line can proceed its process.

Your main tasks:
· Building a large network of suppliers (plastics and machinery)
· Negotiating large contracts and delivery times
· Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain Management and Production
What is your profile:
· You are well familiar with the plastics sector
· You have a technical background and are experienced as a technical buyer, preferably in the plastics and/or machinery sector.
· You are a self starter
· You are able to give strategic advice
· You have a hands on mentality / a “just do it” mentality
· Your knowledge of the English language is fluently
· You are willing to travel 30% of your time, starting with Belgium and the USA.
