This exciting position will enable you to take ownership of the entire end-user computing domain of our client, with its 18.000 end-users and lead the definition of it’s architecture. Our client is front runner in the adoption and roll out of Office365 where continuously new technologies are released and evaluated. The majority of the end-users have embraced Skype for Business, Sharepoint and Yammer for their collaboration and we are investigating the move towards the Skype Enterprise Voice and the new Office365 Cloud PBX solution for telephony to replace the existing VOIP infrastructure. Video conferencing with Skype has become a major enabler at our client to facilitate meetings across EMEA and for that many meeting rooms have been equipped with state-of-the-art video conferencing solutions. You will be the domain authority on Office365 and the related technologies and give guidance on the further enabling and usage of them.
Our client provides Windows based workstations to its end-users and also moves towards a BYOD strategy. A new architecture for the workstation has been created that is based upon Windows 10 and OneDrive for Business. The windows workstations are currently managed with SCCM and are all part of our clients AD domain. You will define the future direction of workstation management in combination with mobile devices. You will keep these technologies in line with the upcoming Windows 10 releases and enhancements, the new Intune platform and the evolution of AD (on-premise and in the cloud).
We introduced Mobile devices several years ago and their usage sees a continuous growth. To manage these devices we have selected Microsoft Intune from the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite.
You will work in close cooperation with our security department to ensure that the end-user designs will comply fully with the security policies and will be ready to support the increasing Internet activities of our client in a secure way.
The application landscape of our client is continuously being enhanced and improved. With the rise of mobile devices the demand for mobile apps increases. You will provide advice on the best way to deploy and update mobile apps to the end-users using the appstore.
