IT OPS Engineer at the FinTech Startup Payconiq of Innovation Office
 
At Payconiq we are building an innovative payment platform for which serves our mobile apps and third parties seeking an easy to integrate API. As part of the innovation office, Payconiq is one of the initiatives which aims to go beyond traditional banking. As IT OPS Engineer in the Payconiq team you will be responsible for the availability, stability and most of all the automation of all of our environments. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our great team and who can help us to automate our environments to the maximum.
 
In your role as OPS engineer within Payconiq the following activities are part of your routine:
– Close interaction with development engineers and product owners
– Collaboration with our infrastructure provider
– Troubleshooting production issues
– Maintaining environments
– Working on IT automation and continuous delivery
– Participating actively in scrum process from an operability perspective
– The successful candidate will have some or most of the following technical and personal qualities.
 
Technology:
– 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of automation and deployment processes
– Skills in Ansible, Puppet or Chef are of advantage!
– Strong knowledge in tools like Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo etc.
– Knowledge of No-SQL databases is of advantage, particular MongoDB
– Knowledge of UNIX environments, bash scripting etc.
– General knowledge in Java, NodeJS or other languages is helpful

Personal:
– Strong problem solving and analytical skills
– Strong communication skills
– Fluent in English
– Able to perform under pressure
– Open to change and new things
– Inspires others and continuously aims to improve existing processes
– Experience in Agile environments
– Standby out of office hours is required
