The Company is looking for a motivated IT DevOps Engineer in the area of Cash & Liquidity management. The DevOps team supports two important systems Smart Predict and PayPlus.

Your work environment
You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment of the IT organization of Customer Financial Markets & Bank Treasury. We operate according to a Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to deliver IT solutions.
The DevOps team consists of 7-8 people. The team is responsible for two applications.

“Smart Predict” is a combined front and back office liquidity management application, used to monitor the overall currency position and individual nostro positions for the whole range of banking products. The application is build and maintained by an external vendor. Customer configures the application and its interfaces and has built some solutions on top of it.
“PayPlus” is the system to do payments to CLS Bank.
 
Job Description
As a DevOps engineer you are responsible for all the IT aspects like development, maintenance and support.

Your main focus will be on:
–Covering the complete development chain
– Analyzing business requirements and translate them into application design;
– Configuration of the applications Smart Predict and PayPlus (application settings);
– Develop new functionality in PL/SQL and Excel VB;
– Testing of configuration and development;
– Supporting usershe preparation, executing and evaluation of acceptance testing.
–Deliver excellent service to big projects within Customer by participation in (user acceptance and integration) testing and migrations.
–Improving the automation of our IT processes, e.g. increasing our automated test coverage and helping us get to the next level of maturity with respect to Continuous Delivery.
–Supporting the applications including incident management, monitoring, risk management, capacity management and security.

Main projects for the coming period are the move of the complete application landscape to the new datacenter and connecting Smart Predict to the new Payment stack solution.
 
Profile (desired skills & experience)
– Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
– 5+ years of software engineering experience.
– You love technology and naturally stay up-to-date on relevant new developments.
– Being able to translate complex business problems into technical solutions.
– You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code.

Preferred:
– Experience in Cash management, Liquidity Management (preferably intraday liquidity management) and Nostro account management.
– Understanding of Treasury and Financial Markets back office operations (settlement channels, payment flows).
– Worked with Treasury applications like Smart Predict.
 
Technical skills
– At a minimum the following is required:
– Good knowledge of Oracle/SQL
– Good knowledge of Unix/Linux
– Knowledge of Excel including VB macros is a pre
– Experience with messaging middleware MQ
– It will be even a better fit if you have knowledge of and experience with:
– Continuous delivery tooling like GIT, Nolio
– Monitor tooling like Grafana, Logstash-Kibana 
– Testing frameworks
– Scheduler tooling Tivoli
