IT Dev Engineer (backend)
As an engineer you will develop applications within the complex and dynamic world of BCD within this deparment. We use state-of-the-art applications and work with the latest Java-based systems.
We work Scrum/Agile in small teams with sprints of 2 weeks. Your exact role within a project will depend on the type of project, but your focus will be on:
Refining;
Designing;
Developing/programming the functionality;
Testing;
Quality Assurance;
Aftercare.

As you can imagine, certainly given the size of the Bank across the world, you will be working on large and interesting projects with an international character. The applications that you develop will also be implemented worldwide. As an experienced Java Specialist, we don't need to tell you what terms such as Eclipse, Spring, Mybatis, Jackson, JUnit, Oracle, Java 7/8 mean.
 
Skills required
HBO / University Graduate (Master) degree;
At least 5 years of software engineering experience in large organizations;
You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code in a complex environment.
As developer you have advanced knowledge of Java 7/8, Elastic, REST API;
Knowledge of Javascript/Dojo would be handy.
Good knowledge of infrastructure & middleware (e.g. Linux, web- and application-servers, databases, networks, firewalls, proxy-servers);
Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, Eclipse, Crucible, Fortify, SVN/Git, Jenkins, Maven, Selenium, etc;
Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps; 

Personality
Excellent social skills, great communicator;
Creative, like to learn and experiment;
Deliver on promises;
Strong analytical skills, willing to share knowledge with others;
Proactive, perseverant and value a multi-cultural work environment;
Focus on improvement (increase quality, reduce effort / timelines)
Proficient in English and Dutch;
Passionate about technology.
