The web service developer is responsible for all web service development activities and results regarding the project “Payroll Support”. He is reporting to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities
– Consults with subject experts to define requirements for the web services
– Responsible for the design, realization and testing of web services
– Plan and monitor the design and development progress
– Design and develop applying design principles and patterns
– Take responsibility for overall progress and testing of deliverables
– Report on budget and hours (actuals and estimate to complete)
– Proactively provide all relevant information to the Project manager on an ongoing basis
– Acquire sign-off for the web service design and development

Concepts
– With respect to project content the web service developer reports to the Project Manager
– The web service developer must adopt the available LPC project standards
– The web service developer will make all relevant information available to Project Manager
– The web service developer will make all relevant information available to Project Assurance

Experience
– At least 3 years Java, XML, Web Services, WSDL, SOAP
– At least 3 years relational database experience, SQL server preferably
– Complex systems and test environments
– Strong analytical and problem solving skills
– SOAP-design and design and development of SOA solutions
– SOA Web services integration
– Data warehouse and database systems
– Relational and dimensional database theory, architecture, design, and tools
– IBM WebSphere ESB
– Familiar with data modeling methodologies
– Familiar with version control
design, develop, execute, document unit, system and integration test plan
– Assuring traceability and auditability of data processing
– Familiar with requirements engineering methods
– Familiar with test methodology “Jira” for description of test cases
– Familiar with Prince2 and scrum
– Strong written and verbal communication in English and Dutch
– coding, testing and implementing complex programs;
– develop programs and system documentation according to established IT standards
– sourcing data from legacy systems that are to be loaded into Payroll Support store;
– Providing extracts of data from Payroll Support back to operational systems.
