Functieomschrijving;
General:
We require 1 technical designer for the EATC MEAT (Management of European Air Transport) system.
The Technical Designer will be responsible for:
1. controlling the progress and timely completion of on-going work / projects;
2. building front-end and back-end Java applications. The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of fundamental Java development (Java 7 and 8), ZK framework, UML, Oracle 12 and Festa Engine.
The main tasks of the Technical Designer are:
1. Reviewing application requirements and developing design specifications based on the requirements;
2. Developing, designing, implementing and testing applications using JAVA;
3. Developing a detailed estimate for each assignment.

Mandatory qualifications;
Professional/Experience:
a. At east 5 years of experience working with Java, Maven, UML, JPA
and XML;
b. At least 5 years of experience with relational database design, access and deployment;
c. Ability to attend cross functional meetings, providing technical information and answering technical questions regarding platform specifications;
d. Excellent working knowledge of ZK framework and Festa Engine;
e. Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing);
f. Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minima! supervision.

Education/training:
a. university degree or equivalent, complemented by proven conference interpretation skills; java SE6/7 Certified developer;
b. Oracle SQL;
c. Oracle PL/SQL;
d. (Oracle) Database Modeling;
e. Java Enhanced;
f. UML modeling;
g. Object Oriented Programming ZKframework;
h. Festa Engine.

Working language:
a. English Reading (Good)+ Writing(Good)+ Speaking(Good).

Desirable qualifications
1. Professional/Experience
a. Military Air Transport experience;
b. JBoss Application Servers.
