Looking for a DATA LEAD
An innovative energy supplier in Belgium, providing energy and energy related products and services to both households and businesses, is looking for a DATA LEAD.

We have the ambition to become the number one data-driven energy retailer. To guide us along the path towards this ambition, we are looking for a senior Data Lead (freelance).

TASKS
– Advice on data architecture & tooling;
– Help onboard the Data Team;
– Assist the Data Product Owner with the creation of the initial Data Product Backlog;
– Act as delivery lead (ScrumMaster) for the pilot projects;
– Communicate regular status updates to the stakeholders;
– Prepare & present the findings of the pilot projects to the SteerCo;
– Fine-tune delivery plan (approach, budget, resources);
– Identify risks & mitigations; – Define Data Governance best practices;
– Help shaping & transforming our organization to optimally reach our ambition;

SKILLS
– Proven thought leadership in the Data Analytics domain;
– Ability to steer & coach multiple teams (+/- 6 FTE each) towards results;
– Great communicator & innovator; – First-hand experience rolling out state-of-the-art data landscapes;
– Embrace the Agile way-of-working (Scrum, LeSS, …);
– Broad familiarity with Cloud & Open Source technologies (JasperSoft, Pentaho, Talend, Hadoop/Hortonworks, AWS, Apache Spark, YARN, …);
– Experience with the energy retail sector is a definite plus, but not a must;
– Excellent knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset;
The Data Lead will work from the offices in Kontich. The initial assignment is for a three month period (start a.s.a.p., ‘til end of April 2016), extensions are likely (>2017).
