The company will in the coming 4 – 6 years rebuild its local and international capabilities in payment processing. Numerous existing systems will be replaced with a brand new single solution, delivered by one of the market leaders in this area. We are focussing on payments processing in over 40 countries including different initiatives in real time payment processing (including Instant Payments in NL). Exploring all capabilities of this new solution and maximising the output for the company puts you among The company’s best payments engineers. You will not find a more challenging and more demanding position than this. The question is, are you up to it?

Substantive and guiding role in optimising payment transactions
As a Senior Payments Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in optimising the company’s payment transactions with its customers. Together with the colleagues in your DevOps Team, you’ll ensure that financial flows pass off according to requirements and (commercial) targets. For this purpose, your thorough knowledge of and experience in the Payments domain, and your understanding of related IT (systems) are essential. At least as important, however, are your skills to monitor Payment paths, realising them within the deadlines in force and, wherever necessary, escalating correctly and at the proper level within the company. This means that not only do you have the required professional expertise, but also that your strong personality enables you to guide and motivate your team to achieve the best results. In doing so, you are obviously committed to the interests of the customers and you make every effort to effect optimal customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you actively take part in the Scrum process and Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices, among other things by taking part in Sprint reviews, Stand-Ups and Retrospectives.
 
Your working environment
As a Senior Payments Engineer, you’ll work in the Channels and Payments the company department based in Amsterdam. Around 50 people work in this department. Within your DevOps Team, you’ll be working directly with approximately 8 professional and highly motivated colleagues. the company takes the lead in specific IT innovations as well as in the collaboration techniques it uses to achieve the best results. For instance, the company continuously works at optimising its services to customers and at further enhancing its leading position as a reliable and expert bank. You are an enterprising and result-oriented specialist in the field of Payments. You are an expert professional, but you also have the personal (leadership) skills to motivate and encourage your team to achieve optimal and specific results. You are goal-oriented, you understand the desires and needs of your (internal) customers like no one else, and whenever necessary you dare risk your neck in the interest of the targets you need to achieve. Also, you are eager to learn and open to innovation, you are ambitious, a great communicator and you are a real team player.

Furthermore, you have:
At least a bachelor degree;
At least 3-5 years relevant work experience, for instance as a Business Analyst (Payments) at a bank;
Thorough knowledge of and experience with the professional field of Payments;
Proven experience as an IT engineer.
You speak and write English fluently.
