Job profile:

The role is a key project management position responsible for the technical delivery implementation of Entertainment Products & Services across LG’s 12 EU countries in order to enable the delivery of revenue growth primarily across our B2C unit at >4% CAGR to c. $17Bn revenue by 2018. The role requires experience in and specifically focusses on project management for one or more of the following types of projects:

* CPE hardware and software development, porting and/or deployment;

* OTT video centric platforms development, porting and/or deployment;

* Full video eco-systems greenfield and scale up deployment projects;

* In-flight lifecycle management development projects;

* Generic software development life cycle management for video applications, based on Agile processes.

You will be the Go To technical & project management contact for our Office for both in flight product developments and our overall technology strategy to support growth and customer proposition plans around the Entertainment portfolio. This role is a Technical Lead position in the Technology group that is responsible for the end-to-end project management of Products & Services across all Go To Market teams and therefore should ensure synergies in our overall delivery and operating model by working closely with peers within Technology and across the wider Technology & Innovation group.

This role might lead a large team in a project matrix structure through integration activities across Europe and must inspire and motivate in a way that leverages the collective talent across all markets and align individuals around the Customer Value Proposition. This role is pivotal in bringing together E2E products and services at the system integration activity level, including drawing in IT, Core, Access, Mobile & Technology groups such that we build a compelling and differentiated service across the entire customer journey, not just the core product functionality, with built-in quality, robustness and operational excellence instrumentation and operating model design.

This role must demonstrate behaviors and skills needed to balance the tension between the ambition of product teams and technical teams in order to achieve time to market, quality, and business case targets. Also create alignment on scope and timelines for delivery of products among diverse stakeholder groups within the company and in the country entities.

Key Accountabilities:

* E2E delivery of all technology deliverables for the project;

* Define, implement, secure and track required delivery process;

* High focus on shift-left approach of all deliverables and deliverable commitment;

* Capability for Senior management reporting;

* Manage E2E release management;

* Coordinate technical delivery plan with E2E Arch;

* Liaise with central and country ops teams with regard to impact of technology changes;

* Responsible and leads technical delivery of the project throughout its lifetime, in coordination with technology teams and external vendors;

* Provides technical planning, coordination and reporting support for the project, represent technical workstream at project meetings.

Education/Experience:

* MSc or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or other technical studies; Project management certification is a plus. Agile methods and tooling is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

* At least 5+ years of experience in the cable, satellite or telco industry;

* At least 5+ years of experience in End-to-End System Integration of B2C video services;

* At least 5+ years of Experience and knowledge of CATV technologies, STB and DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies;

* 5+ years of experience with working in an international and distributed team environment;

* 5+ years of experience in delivery management of large Pan-European B2C implementation projects, with extensive knowledge and experience of technology development and delivery management methodologies;

* An understanding of Entertainment B2C services from;

* product development process;

* deep understanding of entertainment technology & ecosystem, from CPE hardware and software to service platforms, user interfaces, Apps and media acquisition/management, processing, and distribution, and end-to-end content protection and security;

* wide understanding of IP and broadcast networking as well as data center infrastructure;

* An understanding of Entertainment related costs and economics and able to support unit economic analysis;

* A strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator;

* Basic technical knowledge and implementation experience around CPE hardware and software, Video encoding/transcoding, CAS, DRM, Video back-ends, workflows, CMS, security services, Search & Recommendations, Application Services, CDN, Ad Insertion, broadband data, home networking, TV, VoD, PVR, Access technology, and Internet technology related;
