Our client is a worldwide company and leader in the field of the transmission and distribution of electricity, process and production automation as well as electrical, electronic and installation engineering products and systems. The division supplies products, solutions and services to increase productivity and at the same time use energy efficiently. Their range includes motors, generators, drives, PLCs and robots to offer solutions for a host of drive and automation issues. Within this division they are also the market leader for fast chargers that allow Electrical Vehicles drivers to charge a car in 20 minutes. In this highly technological and rising market, they are developing and supplying these Electrical Vehicle Charger Infrastructure across the globe. Based in their locations in the Netherlands they are looking for a senior Embedded software engineer

Position:

For the development of its fast charging equipment, our client is looking for Embedded Software Engineers with the following responsibilities:

* You are responsible for the design and development of control and operating software for EV battery fast charger products.

* You collaborate with their teams developing the embedded software and the connected services to their clients.

* You assist the software architect by taking ownership of parts of the software, guard architectural decisions by coaching colleagues to make sound design decisions and performing code reviews.

Requirements:

* You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent skill level.

* You possess demonstrated experience in product design and development lifecycle (specification, architecture & design, implementation, integration, testing, configuration management, bug tracking & solving).

* You are able to work in multi-disciplinary teams, clear verbal communicator in at least English (and preferably also with knowledge of Dutch).

* You have demonstrated embedded C/C++ programming skills – typically 2 to 7 years.

* You are skilled in working with Linux in the context of an embedded product: bash scripting, kernel and drivers tweaking to support HW, system administration.

* You have at least affinity with digital hardware and circuit theory, deep knowledge is most certainly a plus.

* Experience with Scrum/Agile processes is a plus
