This role is essential in protecting our systems and applications against IT security breaches and vulnerability issues.

The scope of this role includes the Data Centers, WAN, LAN’s and End Points.

Responsibilities:

Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans

Develop and implement security baselines and hardening procedures for servers, databases and network devices

Manage and take ownership of existing Security solutions such as McAfee EPO, Firewalls, Encryption, SPAM Filters, IDS/IPS

Enforce security policies and procedures

Review security violation reports and investigate possible security exceptions

Update, maintain and document security controls

Implement, support, and evaluate security-monitoring tools

Participate in security compliance efforts (eg. SOX)

Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

Participate in security operations support

Participate in incident handling

Participate in projects

Consistent implement of security solutions at the business unit level

Requirements

Education and certification

MS in Computer Science or equivalent desired

CISSP certified

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ ITIL-based Service Management in a business to business service environment

At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing

At least 3 years of system, network and/or application security experience

Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography and application security

Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti- virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc

Personal skills

Ability to work in line with best practice in complex environments and within tight time constraints

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, providers on both technical and functional level

Management of effective and timely problem resolution

Drive and energy to achieve desired results

Good teamwork skill

Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and writing

Flexible to work on other locations than the regular office location
